These instructions apply to the video plugin with example at here
but may also be useful for general iframe’d content
projects where the paths must be set similarly to here.

Note also that as of version 1.04 the interface has
a special section used for transparent player projects but which can also be used here for simplicity.

From version 1.05 all projects will use this method of upload.

1. It is assumed that you already have an ADP video project working, if not see here or the help file and do this step first. Ensure that the path for the close/resize images (if used) is set in the advanced reference form to “wp-content/plugins/adp-pro/images”.
2. In addition, change the path of the source of the iframe (src) to match your blog path and project folder (see next point). In the demo
   this is “wp-content/plugins/adp-pro/defaultvideo/default_player_content.html”. So the content in ADP now looks like

3. Create a folder under the “adp-pro” plugins folder and upload all the project files directly into it. The path
   in the example given here is “blog/wp-content/plugins/adp-pro/defaultvideo” and all the ADP project files
   were uploaded into “defaultvideo”.
4. Choose a free numeric id in the plugin interface using ADP-pro mode and insert the script lines as supplied
   in the compile form of ADP when you compiled your project
   (these lines are also in the preview page generated at the same time) into the large text box at the end (make sure to
   check the check box next to it.
5. Modify the paths to point to the folder that you created – in this demo these are then like this:

6. Create a post and follow the instructions in the plugin interface (very simple, just enter e.g. #adp24 or whatever
   the numeric id of the project is). Publish the post and test.
7. To make a link triggered video simply enter the link syntax provided by ADP into the body of the post with one small modification:- add in “adpContent(‘ADPAlphaFlash’,htmlstring);” to the syntax. The whole code might then look like this:

   Where it is assumed that the unique ID of the ADP project is the default “ADPAlphaFlash”.

To put an exit popup on any wordpress blog post is easy with the WordPress Popup System. Not only any post or page (including the home page) but also any number of posts you choose, including all posts with certain exceptions, or only the home page etc.

In this demo an image taken from the overlay images plugin for Advanced DHTML Popup is used and the modal option selected as well as the exit option. The WordPress plugin is being used in its Pro mode.

The Unblockable Exit popup from www.wordpresspopupplugin.com will appear when the visitor moves to exit the window from the top or the left.

Here it is set to the center of the browser and to follow page scroll. It will appear only once, if the user closes it, it will not appear again when he leaves the page.

This example uses the “pro-mode” with ADP Pro, but from version 1.11 released 10th March 2010 the standalone version also supports exit popups and the lightbox effect.

If the page is refreshed, this example can show again, but if created with the “Once per Session” setting it will not show again until the page is re-visited another time.

The new form in the plugin was used for easy insertion of entire projects at once – available in 1.04 and soon to be extended.

Each of these additional templates has almost the same power as the Transparent Player template, and revision 15 of this release introduces an amazing new feature which allows sets of commands to be issued when any of the layers is closed in the page.

This could be used for example to open a video when a user submits an optin form, or open a different video if it is closed. The possibilities are endless and the project is in a phase of rapid development.

The new feature of the The WordPress Popup Plugin makes the embedding of Transparent player content far easier that in the Version 2.0 series, with a simple copy paste of the script lines into a new text box in the admin of the plugin.

Remember – when creating the popup in ADP Pro, you must set the image path as described in the uploads section (wp-content/plugins/adp-pro/images/image.gif) and also upload the image itself using the “Optional image files” upload.

Here it is set to the full width of the browser and to follow page scroll. It could be any dimension, hold any content and slide up to any location in the post.
