Transparent video (alpha-transparency) spokespeople embedded into a DHTML scrolling popup and displayed on your website is a powerful method to obtain and hold attention. In fact any video and video format can be used, it need not be restricted to Flash video or transparency.

What is important is that it is embedded in a DHTML popup so that it can scroll with the page (for example) and in general be independent of the page.

The stand-alone technology presented here allows you, the Webmaster, to show prospective clients your video on their site, without ever leaving your server.

Features

  • The front end is basically one of two possible forms, this one in the demo, or a form that produces an equivalent URL that can be emailed to prospective clients.
  • In either form the destination URL is entered and a location chosen (9 different relatively positioned locations that stay in place even if the page is scrolled or the browser resized)
  • Auto-resizing of the popups according to the video size
  • In this demo there is a choice of 3 videos, but there is no limit in principle to the number that can be added
  • This technology is standalone, there is no requirement to purchase Advanced DHTML Pro in order to use it.
  • Optional email sending to your email address indicating what video and destination URL were chosen by the visitor
  • Affiliate id's may be appended to the URL's and will work exactly as normal
  • The destination page hosting the demo behaves exactly as it would do normally, menus, links etc all function the same.

Requirements

  • Your Web server must be PHP enabled, the most common server-side scripting language available with the large majority of hosts.
  • Your videos ready to add to the demo

Installation

Upon purchase you can immediately download a zip file containing the complete set of files required. Simply extract to a folder somewhere on your hardrive, configure the video files as per instructions and the format used, and upload all files exactly as they were extracted, to your server.
