We show YouTube Videos embedded into a DHTML layer and positioned as desired without having to worry about redesigning the page content and flow, and of course the content can be any video, not just YouTube videos. Each video fades-in, initiates a modal effect and darkens the background (requires the modal add-on). Any video format can be used including alpha transparent flash video or a non-flash video format. The code as supplied by YouTube can be used directly in the application or embedded using one of several standard methods to avoid the "Click here to activate..." message in Internet Explorer.
A series of video tutorials for example could be listed, or an image gallery. But videos and images are only one attractive application
of the modal popup. There are many cases where user form input is required on a website and in some cases, particularly web applications,
this input is required before the next action can proceed. Using the modal effect ensures that the information is entered first.
